Coincidentally it was an anniversary of the opening of the space so after the talk there was a get-together where I met more members. Being Seville, out came the tapas and cava. The event was well attended and there was a great buzz, and not just from the booze. I found the people friendly, welcoming and very curious about the Sydney scene.
Throughout Spain unemployment is high especially with the young, so the more gung-ho of these have decided to give a crack at starting their own businesses. I got pitched to several time during the evening as well as later in the week at the Silicon Drinkabout Sevilla which was at the Merchant’s Malt House. Apparently they select different bars each Friday which is fun.
So if you’re visiting Seville try to make time to pop in and introduce yourself to Jaime, and say hi from me.
