Given a certain amount of spare time during the Covid lockdown, I decided to explore somethings on my "do this at some stage" list. You DO have one of these, right?

Step one was stop-frame animation. I asked around and was told Davinci Resolve was good and free so off I went.  Here are my two efforts.

Snakey's First Adventure - Lego and a very basic background, filmed from above with a fantastic contraption holding the camera with elastic bands.  Snakey emerges, wanders about, goes home and decides he doesn't like parsley. 44 seconds of film took a few days but I was learning the software and techniques so all good.

Babo finds a hat - my son's old drawing model and a wine bottle cap hat, cardboard box set, volcanic eruptions and very jerky motion. Only 40 seconds but it took even longer than Snakey, but I'm happy with the emotion you can get from a wooden figure

OK so I've got lots of footage of strange places I've visited in Southern Europe. How about I string them together in a three part series of madness?
